The Tokina ATX-M 85mm F1.8 lens in SONY FE mount is a perfect full frame lens for the Sony Alpha / ILCE series of mirrorless digital camera systems. This is the first lens debuting in atx-m series, featuring the popular 85mm focal length and fast f/1.8 aperture, an excellent specification combination for shooting portraits, landscapes, street snaps and close up shots. This medium tele photo prime lens in features 10 optical elements including one SD (Low-dispersion) produces excellent image quality with maximum resolution from corner to corner, with high contrast, low distortion and minimising chromatic aberrations and delivering nature colour rendition. The Tokina ATX-M 85mm offers F1.8 fast aperture, and the large diameter front element contributes in low light fall-off and smooth bokeh through all image area making it a great portrait lens. Quiet, accurate and fast auto focusing is achieved by the inclusion of the ST-M focus motor. As well as the AF, manual focus is smooth and precise thanks to all-metal made unit and high standard manufacturing. Fully compatible with the Sony Fast Hybrid AF system and all AF function settings, offering similar AF performance as with proprietary E-mount AF lenses. Fine manual focus adjustment along with Face/Eye Priority AF, Real-time Eye AF are also compatible.

As the lens features electronic contacts, communication to Sony camera bodies pass on data such as EXIF enabling the camera to correct shading, distortion and lateral chromatic aberrations. By transmitting focal length data the Tokina atx-m 85mm F1.8 FE is able to get maximum use of Sony's In-Body 5-Axis Image Stabilization function if available in the camera model including the Sony A7 series. Tokina's exclusive Super Low Reflection Coating offers water, oil and dust repellent abilities.
