Sony's FX9 Reveal: What We Learned Since IBC
It’s been 1 week now since the PXW-FX9 has been announced by Sony. We have learned a fair bit in that time, including price and availability:
Pricing
The price of the FX9 is similar to that of the FS7M2 complete with the XDCA-FS7. The FX9 has Time Code and Genlock included as standard whereas you need the XDCA-FS7 to have it on the FS7 / FS7M2.
Demos
We will start demos in October to give you a first look of the FX9. During the demo you will get expert advice and a chance to see the FX9’s image quality and features first-hand. As an official partner of Sony, our team is trained and well versed in all Sony products. Official shipping of FX9 will start in December.
Trade In
We have also had a few people asking whether Top-Teks can take in their FS7/FS7 mark 2 as a trade in. Part exchange will be considered but pricing will not be confirmed until the FX9 is available to deliver. So, hold on to your old kit for now.

People are excited about the Full Frame sensor on the FX9. As well as Full Frame the camera can shoot Super 35, so your Zooms and APS-C lenses are safe!
