Blackmagic PYXIS Monitor is a versatile 5″ HDR touchscreen monitor with full camera control that can be mounted almost anywhere. It provides an additional monitoring and camera control option that can be mounted anywhere so it’s perfect for use when rigging or other accessories block Blackmagic PYXIS’ internal display. The bright 1500 nit high brightness screen makes monitoring easy, even in bright sunlight and includes a removable sunshade that also folds up to protect the monitor. Blackmagic PYXIS Monitor is easy to set up with a single USB-C cable connection for video, power and camera control. Blackmagic PYXIS is designed to be rigged with rails, cages and other accessories. However, these setups can sometimes obscure the built in monitor. Blackmagic PYXIS Monitor provides an additional monitoring option that works with the camera’s design and own mounting accessories. Blackmagic PYXIS Monitor even has a built in accelerometer so you can mount it in any orientation and still view the image perfectly. You can even mount it off the camera on accessories such as gimbals meaning you can maintain full monitoring and camera control, even when the camera’s out of reach. It also has a tally light so you can act as both presenter and camera operator as a one person production team.
