The new Fujifilm GFX Eterna Spec

9th Jun 2025

Last week saw Fujifilm release more detail regarding the GFX Eterna. The Eterna is very interesting as it actually offers something brand new, which in the modern day is difficult for manufacturers to do. The Eterna has a Medium Format style sensor so has an image circle in excess of 46mm, bigger than Arri’s LF and Sony’s Venice; the larger sensor will allow the use of the more exotic glass we are seeing in recent times to it’s full effect. The GFX 102MP CMOS II HS Sensor is coupled with X Processor 5 High Speed Engine, so whilst there’s no Global Shutter the read speed should negate any rolling shutter concerns.

What we know so far detailed below, more to come including price at IBC.
