Dynamic Dovetail

The Advanced Documentary Kit is built around our Universal Dovetail: a dual-purpose dovetail that is compatible with both DJI and Manfrotto mounts – even with the gear rack mechanism on some DJI gimbals. The dovetail is easy to mount to your camera and even easier to balance on a compatible mount. If you want consistent rod support, simply add our 15mm Rod Bracket and Rosette Mount for the ETERNA.

If your documentary style doesn’t leave much room for planning, then pair the Universal Dovetail with our Create Shoulder Rig: a low-profile shoulder rig solution. With its comfortable EVA foam pad that can be set to four different positions, you can conveniently shoot authentic mobile footage for extended periods of time.

Top Performance

Meanwhile, on top of your ETERNA, we’ve given you extra rigging freedom with our NATO Top Plate. Mounting cleanly to the top of your camera, the Top Plate provides a range of rigging options: from standard 1/4"" and 3/8” anti-twist points, as well as QD sockets and an integrated NATO rail. For mounting compatible NATO Top Handles, the Top Plate has a safety catch that will click into place, helping you balance your camera body.

Additional Rigging

Alongside the included Rear Side Plate – which offers further customisation options along the back-right of the ETERNA - we also offer a range of expansions to fit any build. Additional Top Plates and Side Plates – all purpose-built for the ETERNA body – can be fitted for extra rigging real-estate, for more complex builds, along with a Vertical Adaptor for shooting cinematic social media content.

Compatibility

The Fujifilm GFX ETERNA Advanced Documentary Kit has been designed to work with the Fujifilm GFX ETERNA. The Top Plate and Side Plate mount directly to the camera body via dedicated screw threads. The Universal Dovetail and Create Shoulder Rig, however, is designed to be used with any camera and can be repurposed for different camera configurations.

Instructions/Assembly

The Advanced Documentary Kit comes with all required components and screws. You will require your own 3mm and 4mm Hex Key in order to fit it, as well as a flathead screwdriver.

Top Plate to Camera

1. Align the Top Plate’s captive screws with the two 3/8” screw threads on the ETERNA.
2. Use a 4mm Hex Key to secure the Top Plate to the camera.

Universal Dovetail to Camera

1. Align the captive 1/4"" and 3/8” screws with threads on the base of the ETERNA. The screws can slide along the length of the dovetail to help balance larger lenses.
2. Use a flathead screwdriver to attach the Dovetail to the camera.

Side Plate to Camera

1. Align the two M4 screws with the corresponding threads on the rear of the ETERNA – one above the microphone input, and one below the DC cable input.
2. Use a 3mm Hex Key to tightly screw the Rear Side Plate to the ETERNA.

Dovetail to Shoulder Rig

1. Slide the Universal Dovetail in through the front of the Create Shoulder Rig, with the Dovetail facing forward.
2. Tighten the lever clamp until the dovetail is secure.
