What has Top-Teks been up to this month?
21st Apr 2026
For those not that familiar with what Top-Teks does, as well as supplying equipment to Freelancers, Broadcasters, Rental House and News Companies we get involved with many projects across Europe, so thought we’d highlight some of the equipment passing through our warehouse this month.

First off, twelve Sony Venice 2 8Ks just arrived for a customer. 2025 saw the Venice 2 make a resurgence with many productions reverting to the Sony Flagship Camera with it’s proven quality and easy workflow . As well as it’s use in Drama and Features, increasingly we’re seeing the Venice used for Live and Events. When matched up with Multidyne’s Silver Back SMPTE system, the camera’s ability to fit into Sony’s System Camera control networks make it ideal and easy to use for those wanting a more cinematic feel to their event images.

No, not dust on the filter, this a custom Tiffen ¼ Glimmer Glass filter fitted into the filter wheel of a Sony HDC-3500V. Top-Teks was asked to modify some cameras for one of our customers who didn’t want to have a bulky matte box on the lens of the system cameras being used handheld. The same can be done with other filter types, gives us a call if you have any requirements.
