The AK-UBX100 is Panasonic’s new 4K multi-purpose camera, designed for today’s fast-moving production environments. Launching in Q4 2025, the UBX100 combines a lightweight box-style design with professional-grade imaging performance, advanced connectivity, and seamless interoperability with Panasonic’s broadcast ecosystem.

Built on the same 2/3-type bayonet lens mount sensor and processing platform as the UCX100 studio camera, the UBX100 ensures consistent operation, color matching, and smooth integration with devices such as the AW-UE160 PTZ. Its compact 1.9kg body makes it ideal for robotic mounting and flexible lens setups, while offering the precision and performance professionals demand.

Seamless Multi-Camera Integration
The UBX100 is designed to work hand-in-hand with Panasonic’s UCX100 studio camera and UE160 PTZ systems. Unified menu structures and compatibility with common remote operation panels (ROPs) ensure a smooth operator experience across multi-camera setups. This consistency reduces training time, speeds up deployment, and ensures colour and performance alignment across your workflow.

Weighing just 1.9kg, the UBX100’s box-style form factor makes it an ideal choice for robotic mounts, flexible lens applications, or installations where space and weight are critical. Despite its small footprint, it delivers uncompromising 4K image performance, making it a versatile solution for both broadcast and live production environments.

Advanced Connectivity
The UBX100 supports a wide range of IP protocols including SMPTE ST 2110, NDI® High Bandwidth, NDI® HX2, and SRT, enabling seamless integration into hybrid and fully IP-based workflows. Dual 12G-SDI and SFP+/28 ports provide robust wired connectivity, ensuring stability for high-bandwidth video transmission in demanding production environments.

Superior Image Quality
Equipped with an optional HD optical low-pass filter, the UBX100 reduces moiré and delivers sharper images in visually complex scenes. Automatic correction for F-drop and peripheral light falloff ensures uniform brightness and exposure across the frame. Remote back focus adjustment further streamlines setup, enabling precise fine-tuning from a distance without manual intervention.

Future-Ready Auto-Focus
In Q2 2026, the UBX100 will receive an upgrade with auto-focus functionality, bringing greater speed, flexibility, and accuracy to productions. This firmware update will extend Panasonic’s industry-first auto-focus innovation, already debuting on the UCX100, to the UBX100 platform—empowering operators to capture consistently sharp, high-quality images in dynamic shooting conditions.
