Sony HDC-3100 - Three 2/3-inch CMOS sensors portable system camera for fibre operation

Raise the standard of live production with the Sony HDC-3100 system camera, engineered to deliver outstanding image quality, creative control, and operational flexibility.

Designed for demanding broadcast environments, the HDC-3100 features a next-generation 2/3-inch CMOS sensor with advanced global shutter technology. This eliminates motion artefacts such as the “jello effect” and banding, ensuring consistently clean, stable images with low noise and excellent sensitivity—even in challenging lighting conditions.

The camera supports a wide range of HD formats up to 1080/50p, with seamless integration into 4K workflows via compatible camera control units. This flexibility allows production teams to adapt easily to different broadcast requirements while maintaining exceptional picture quality.

Built-in optical fibre transmission enables reliable, high-bandwidth signal transfer over long distances, making the HDC-3100 ideal for studio and outside broadcast applications. Its compatibility with Sony HDCU series control units ensures smooth system integration and efficient operation.

Creative possibilities are further enhanced with powerful image control features, including advanced gamma settings for precise tonal adjustment and Low-key Saturation for richer colour reproduction in darker areas. Whether capturing subtle detail or bold contrast, the HDC-3100 gives you full control over your visual style.

Supporting simultaneous HDR and SDR production through Sony’s SR Live workflow, the camera streamlines modern broadcast pipelines while reducing equipment demands.

The Sony HDC-3100 is a versatile, high-performance solution for broadcasters seeking premium HD imaging with the flexibility to grow into 4K and HDR production.

Please note: certain advanced features require optional software licences to activate.
