Convenience meets precision with our LeftField 3 Sony BURANO Kit, which provides global BUD compatibility as well as a purpose-built top plate for component customisation. Providing everything you need to get started with the BURANO, this Cine kit serves as a foundation for shooting cinematic content and refining your rig to suit your needs.

The LeftField 3 Sony BURANO Cine Kit provides a sliding top plate and 15mm LWS baseplate that Sony shooters can use to customise their rigs. Providing a range of accessory mounting options including 1/4″-20, QD sockets and 15mm support rods, the kit serves as a foundation for complex camera customisation.

The LeftField 3 Sony BURANO Base Cine Kit comes with a 15mm LWS Baseplate, Sliding Top Plate, a BUD Bottom Plate, a LeftField 3 Studio dovetail adaptor, and two sterling titanium Drumstix support rods (12″).

Flexible Setups

The purpose-built BURANO Top Plate sits discreetly on top of the camera, with a sliding middle section that can be removed for streamlined Sony setups. The top of the plate features ARRI pin-lock standard threads, along with additional side-facing ¼” and MAP M4 points. Carry your setup with ease, ready for the next location with the inclusion of three Quick-Detach (QD) sockets.

Quick-Release BUD

The bottom plate uses the ARRI BUD platform, offering rapid-release functionalities, enabling seamless transitions between various setups such as tripod, handheld, and gimbal. The quick-release attribute boosts efficiency on set, preserving precious time during shifts.

Balanced Setups

Both the top plate and baseplate feature sliding components, meaning that you can optimise your rig for the best balance – especially important when shooting handheld. Counter a heavy lens with a rear-weighted accessory mount, or take the matte box’s weight off your lens with the two 15mm LWS support rods – it’s up to you how to best balance your BURANO.

The LeftField Sony BURANO Base Cine Kit is purpose-built for the Sony BURANO camera. ARRI BUD: The bottom plate easily attaches and detaches from ARRI BUD systems. The bottom plates feature the wider 88mm BUD dovetail, matching the ARRI BUD-1 and BUD-3 specifications.

Studio Adaptability: The LeftField system also accommodates users looking to scale up with 19mm or 15mm Studio bridgeplates. You can directly mount the adaptor plate onto ARRI BP-8 and BP-9 bridgeplates.

Assembly

To assemble the Base Cine Kit, first ensure that you have 3mm and 4mm hex keys – as well as a flathead screwdriver – easily accessible.

Begin by attaching the bottom and top plates to the camera, aligning the screws with their dedicated threads on the BURANO body.

Next, connect the top handle to the quick-release dovetail plate and fasten the monitor support system to the handle’s 15mm rod clamp.
