Mount accessories and add handheld capabilities to your Blackmagic Design PYXIS 6K or PYXIS 12K cinema camera with the black Camera Cage Pro Kit from Tilta. The kit includes a modular full camera cage, a V-Mount battery plate, a Xeno top handle with a NATO clamp, a 15mm LWS baseplate, and two 8" long 15mm rods. The modular cage is made up of left/right side arm panels, a bottom plate, a top plate, and a side SSD plate that secure directly onto the camera. The components provide shoe mounts, NATO rails, 15mm rods, an ARRI-style rosette, 1/4"-20 threads, and 3/8"-16 anti-twist threads. Tilta Full Camera Cage for Blackmagic PYXIS 6K/12K The multi-functional side SSD plate features a slot for an optional SSD measuring 2.05 to 2.36" wide and 0.47" thick, and a quick release lever allows you to lock and remove the drive quickly. A Manfrotto-type quick release dovetail plate is included for quickly mounting your camera, and it attaches using a thread on the bottom that is aligned with the optical centre of your camera. The top plate is compatible with the original PYXIS top handle. Tilta Battery Plate for Blackmagic PYXIS 6K/12K (V-Mount) Tilta Xeno Top Handle with NATO Clamp (Black) The top handle secures to your cage via a NATO clamp. Multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads throughout the handle allow you to attach articulating arms, cable clamps, or other accessories. A single cold shoe slot accommodates a shotgun microphone or wireless transmitter. The handle's silicone grip makes for an ergonomic and anti-slip handgrip. Tilta Universal 15mm LWS Manfrotto Baseplate A locking toggle allows the baseplate to be used with the separately available 19mm studio version. The bottom of the baseplate features a dovetail receiver that is compatible with Tilta- or ARRI-standard dovetails. Aluminium alloy and steel ensure a lightweight and durable construction. The battery plate also features two 14.8V D-Tap outputs, a 14.8V 2-pin LEMO-style output, and a USB-C output, allowing you to power a variety of accessories. A DC barrel input provides the ability to hot swap your battery using an external power source and a separately available cable.
The rod is made from machined aluminium for a balance between weight and strength, and then anodized black for wear and corrosion resistance. Please note that there is no industry-wide standard for support rod threading, so when sourcing optional rod extenders, it is best to stay within one brand.
