Introducing the VENICE 2 Extension System Mini. This specialised system allows filmmakers to detach the sensor from the camera body via a new, thinner, and more flexible cable. At approximately 70% smaller than its predecessor (the Rialto 2), it fits into tight spaces where traditional rigs simply cannot. Weighing just 0.54kg, with a built-in 8.6K CMOS sensor, this compact unit is purpose-built for POV, handheld, and gimbal work—all while preserving the 8K image quality of the VENICE 2. In fact, it even allows VENICE 2 6K users to now capture in 8K.

VENICE Extension System Mini can be used with the VENICE 2 6K and VENICE 2 8K. It comes with a set of ND filters, PL adapter and a 4.5m cable.

Offering specialised shooting with no trade-off in image quality

Built-in 8.6K Full-Frame CMOS Sensor, compatible with VENICE 2*

8.6K full-frame CMOS sensor is built into the camera head block, allowing for shooting with the same image quality as the VENICE 2 8K, in a more compact body. *VENICE 2 V4.0 firmware is required.

Drop-in ND Filter

The nine included ND filters can be easily swapped by dropping them into the VENICE Extension System Mini's camera head block, allowing for quick adjustment of exposure.

Compact and lightweight camera head block

Measuring approximately 63.9 x 103.2 x 60.2mm (W x H x D) and weighing approximately 0.54kg (excluding detachable cable) with the E-mount.

Approximately 70% smaller than the VENICE Extension System, making it ideal for handheld and small gimbal use.

Detachable cable, extends up to 12 meters

The newly developed cable is thinner and more flexible than before, and since it is detachable, shooting and installation in tight spaces has become easier.

To make it easier to use with smaller gimbals, the included cable is 4.5m instead of 3m and can be replaced with a 12m cable (optional accessory CBK-12C3621).

Enhanced usability and expandability

Support for spirit level indicator and recording metadata

The system has a sensor on the camera head block that detects horizontal and vertical tilt. This tilt information is recorded and output as metadata, allowing you to check it during shooting at various head and tilt angles.

Two assignable buttons on camera head block for easy operation

The camera head block has two ASSIGN buttons that can be set for uses such as False Colour display toggle, in addition to REC Start/Stop.

Two functions can be custom-assigned for easier use.

Support for PL mount and E-mount Lenses

VENICE Extension System Mini supports both E-mount and PL mount lenses with the included PL mount adapter.

PL mount adapter is equipped with a LENS META IN connector for Cooke/i protocol.

Built-in Mounting Holes

The camera head block features 15 built-in mounting holes providing flexible positioning and mounting for various shooting environments.

Stereoscopic Shooting

Positioning two camera head blocks side by side enables high-resolution stereoscopic shooting with an inter-pupillary distance of 64mm using E-mount lenses, creating natural stereoscopic images and enhancing visual immersion*. *Two VENICE 2 cameras are also required

Stitching Shooting

Combining multiple camera head blocks for a VFX plate rig allows for 360° VFX plate shooting, expanding creative possibilities. This compact and lightweight setup also supports VFX plate shooting and virtual production background filming.
