Sound Devices Scorpio – 32-Channel Mixer-Recorder
Current Stock:
The Sound Devices Scorpio is a powerful 32-channel, 36-track portable mixer-recorder designed for demanding film, television and broadcast production. With 16 high-performance mic/line preamplifiers, 32 channels of Dante I/O, AES I/O, 12 analogue outputs and multiple headphone outputs, Scorpio provides the flexibility required for complex production workflows while remaining compact enough for over-the-shoulder or mobile-rig operation. Scorpio features Sound Devices' most advanced analogue microphone preamplifiers, combining exceptionally low noise with built-in analogue limiters, high-pass filters, delay, 3-band EQ and phantom power. A fully customisable routing matrix allows any input to be routed to channels, buses or outputs, with up to 12 individually mixed buses. For secure recording, Scorpio features an internal 256 GB SSD and can simultaneously record to two SD cards for redundancy. Its powerful processing platform provides 64-bit audio processing, while the built-in timecode generator maintains accurate timecode for up to four hours after power-down. Advanced production features include Dugan Automixing and MixAssist, with optional NoiseAssist and CEDAR sdnx plugins available for reducing background noise. Scorpio can also be expanded with the SL-2 Dual SuperSlot Wireless Module or integrated with the Astral ARX16 for up to 16 channels of wireless audio. With support for L-Mount batteries, TA4 DC power and a range of control options including the CL-16 and SD-Remote app, Scorpio is designed to provide a comprehensive, professional production audio solution.
