Fujinon HA14x4.5BERD-S6B Lens

With a 4.5-mm focal length the Fujinon wide-angle lens provides a wide horizontal angle of view of 93°38'. Combined with a zoom ratio of 14x and a sensational 2.2x extender, a first in this class of lenses, this lens is suitable for any job, from close-up situations in confined conditions to framing distance objects. The HA14x4.5B lenses provide wide and dynamic images on 16:9-format screens in all production situations.

The lens has been designed using Fujinon’s exclusive GO-Technology which ensures the highest optical quality. Not only has the distortion been improved considerably in comparison to the HA13x predecessor, but the lens also shows high MTF values overall. Good resolution and higher relative illumination round off the improved optical features of the HA14x4.5B lens.

The new 2.2x extender lengthens the tele end for more powerful shots without the need for a bigger lens with a larger zoom ratio. The tele end of 139 mm is the equivalent of an 18x zoom lens (without extender). The HA14x lens also includes the other Fujinon special features like QuickZoom. Quick Frame is optional.

Digi Power

With broadcasting technology rapidly converting to digital, Fujinon has developed a new digital servo control system, DIGI POWER, to enhance the performance of its zoom lenses. State-of-the-art components including a 32-bit RISC processor in the lens, a CPU in each servo demand, optical encoders and high-speed serial communication devices, together with the newly developed digital control circuit, provide 13-bit accuracy in zoom and focus control as well as a variety of new functions.An RS232 connector in the lens provides a connection between the lens and a PC, or other control device, for external control. This function has made it possible to control the lens functions with the high degree of accuracy and reliability needed for virtual studio and other robotic applications, and to raise the level for all production environments.

Digital Quick Zoom

Quick Zoom speed is improved to 0.7 seconds end to end. Quick Zoom provides for a rapid zoom movement to the telephoto position to check focus with the simple push of a button. Releasing the button returns the lens to the previously selected zoom position. Quick Zoom can now be performed remotely from the ERD-T22 and ERD-10A-D01.
