Sound Devices MixPre-6 II Professional Audio Recorder & Mixer

The Sound Devices MixPre-6 II is a compact, rugged and professional audio recorder, mixer and USB audio interface designed for field recording, film, podcasts, voice-over, music and studio applications.

Featuring four ultra-low-noise Kashmir microphone preamps, the MixPre-6 II delivers exceptional audio quality with 142 dB of dynamic range, recording up to 32-bit float and 192 kHz. Its built-in 6 x 2 mixer provides intuitive control over gain, pan, low-cut, phase, phantom power and adjustable limiters.

Record up to 8 tracks to SD card, automatically back up to a USB drive, or use the MixPre-6 II as an 8-in/4-out USB-C audio interface with 32-bit float streaming. Professional workflows are supported with internal LTC timecode generation, HDMI timecode and record triggering, plus a 10-second pre-roll buffer.

The lightweight and durable design, sunlight-readable colour touchscreen, LED metering and powerful headphone amplifier make the MixPre-6 II ideal for demanding recording environments. Optional plugins further expand its capabilities for MixAssist, music production and Ambisonics recording.
